“Movers showed up on time, nice clean people, were careful with my items, worked fast and hard. No damage to anything!”
Chicago weather is exactly why climate control matters here. A non-conditioned unit swings from sub-zero in January to humid and ninety in July, and that’s hard on wood furniture, electronics, and anything upholstered. Our vaults stay temperature-controlled year-round, so a month-long hold doesn’t cost you a warped tabletop.
Your things are inventoried as they go in and stay in our facility, not scattered across a self-storage lot you have to drive to. When you’re ready, our crew pulls the vaults and delivers, fast.
When short-term storage makes sense
It’s the fix for the in-between weeks. The usual reasons:
- Closing-gap moves: you’re out of the old place before the keys to the new one clear.
- Between homes: a lease ends mid-month and the next one starts later, common around the May 1 churn.
- Staging: your realtor wants the house cleared to show, so the furniture waits a few weeks.
- Renovation holds: clear a room or a floor while the work happens, then bring it back.
How storage is priced
Simple monthly rate per vault, no long commitment. Pay for the weeks you actually need.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Vault rate | From $59/month, climate-controlled |
| Term | Short-term, month to month |
| Load & redeliver | Our crew and trucks, both directions |
| Inventory | Itemized in and out |
One company end to end: we load it, store it, and bring it back. No re-quoting a second mover when your closing finally lands.
One crew, no double handling
The hidden cost of self-storage is that you move everything twice, once into a rented unit and again out of it, usually doing the heavy lifting yourself in the meantime. We close that gap. Our crew pad-wraps your furniture in your Lincoln Park or Wicker Park place, loads it into vaults, and the same vaults come off our truck and into your new home when you’re ready. Your things are handled by movers on both ends, and you’re never the one carrying a couch down stairs in February.
What’s not included
We’re built for short-term, between-homes holds, not long-term archive storage stretching past several months; if you need a long hold we’ll point you the right direction honestly. We also don’t store hazardous materials, perishables, or live plants. Redelivery is scheduled like any move, so give us a heads-up and we’ll move quickly.
